Swamp Horror Repose, WIP

Been working on getting this guy reposed for my Blindwater Hordes Army.
I hate the original pose. Not scary enough.

Here is my work in progress. I think it's slick.

GK Workbench Partner Project

Bit of info,
I wrote a 2 part blog on how to paint analogous Flesh on minis for GK-Workbench.
You can find the articles here:  Part 1, Part 2.
I was rewarded with some cool GK dice for my effort.

The Butcher of Khardov

Looking forward to running this guy's heart of darkness theme list. He'll be leading all those Men-O-War I've gotten painted.

I think my first go at it will be:
pButcher
Berserker
Juggernaut
Kodiak
Man-O-War: Shocktrooper (x5)
Man-O-War: Bombadiers (x5)
War Dog

Man of War Bombadiers

Had these guys painted for a bit now, just got to basing them last night.
They are not front line troops so I didn't want them as beat up as the MoW: Shock Troopers but wanted it to look like they've seen action.

Berserker

As far as pewter Khador Jacks go, the Berseker fits together really nice. I found the pose of the arms a bit weird so I reposed his left arm to angle the axe inward. In my opinion without this change he looked like he was doing la cucaracha.

I used a hair spray method I found on Ginger Kid's blog to get the chipped away red paint look. I found using a cotton swab to start worked best.

First pic a detail of the rust painting before putting the hair spray and red on top.

The finished model.

Man of War Shock Troopers

These guys took me forever to paint.
Wanted them to look extra damaged so I added a few armor plates for those crude field repairs.
That way once the mechanik UA comes out it'll look like he's done some work on them.

Gorman 2

My wife asked me to paint her up a mini for her desk at work. After looking through my warmachine and hordes books she decided she liked Gorman Di Wulfe. Once she found out his title of "rogue alchemist" she was sold. Her Gorman looks better than mine...

Painted Dec 2011. Aprox 6-8 hours
